An interview special with London Bases Reggae band The Dualers
Tyber chatted to Dan Evans on the Reggae show the evenign before the release of
"Voices From the Sun"
The Dualers - Bio (from website)
Lead singer and founding member Tyber Cranstoun's love for Ska and Reggae music developed from a very early age. His father, Bill was a local promoter of Jamaican music in the 1960s and ran his Savoy Sound System at several locations in south London. After graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Tyber began busking with his brother Si Cranstoun on the streets of Canterbury and South London where his distinctive vocals and lively performances soon began to draw in large audiences. With an ever increasing fan base developing, Tyber seconded a group of musicians. Together they began writing their own songs and performing them live to audiences across the south-east.
They first hit the headlines when the single ‘Kiss on the Lips’ entered in to the UK charts at number 21 despite no industry or professional backing, the follow up single Truly Madly featured in full on the Hollywood blockbuster Fools Gold, the success continued with a number of album releases, several top 40 chart singles and an ever increasing large worldwide fan base behind them.
2019 saw the release of the hotly anticipated album, Palm Trees & 80 Degrees which stormed into the UK album chart at number 11, reached number 2 in the independent chart and number 1 in the reggae chart. Heralded as Britain’s finest Ska & Reggae band The Dualers continue to play to sell-out crowds all over the UK, Europe & Asia, they have also played their first Arena tour this year which saw the band headline Wembley Arena on 14th May. The brand new album Voices From The Sun will be released on 12th August.
